WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL EDITION OF THE DUST COVER, Environmental Dust Control's (EDC) ANNUAL NEWSLETTER. As always, we want to say THANK YOU to all of our customers since 1996.

EDC's goal is to provide a service, product, and to deal with problems in a professional manner, working toward perfecting the process and the DUSTLOCK formulation. All of our DUSTLOCK blends are biodegradable and come from the vegetable oil refining process.

RESEARCH

EDC has made progress with the durability in our blends and the long-term effects of multiple applications. Durability continues to be dependent on traffic loads, road base materials and the road bed itself. The addition of a light coating of washed sand after treating the surface with DUSTLOCK has proven to be very helpful in reducing the sticky/tackiness stage of the curing process and also helping to bind the treated surface together. While sanding adds to the cost, the additional benefits far outweigh the extra cost. We continue to work with the Agriculture Research Institute (AURI) to improve the Dustlock formulation

DUSTLOCK works better and more effectively in some circumstances when the surface is watered before applying DUSTLOCK. EDC is able to water the surface for a nominal fee. The need for watering with the new blends has been reduced significantly, although we still recommend some watering at times.

With the expanding business, we have purchased additional equipment for storage, allowing us to purchase and hold inventory when the price is favorable so that we can pass this along to our customers in the form of good value for your dollars.

IT'S NOT JUST ROADS that we service.

Parking lots, golf cart paths, campgrounds, farmyards, and private driveways are some of the other areas we cover.

Another use that EDC has found for Dustlock is as a slip agent in trucks hauling hot asphalt and also as a breaking agent for concrete forms.

CURRENT PRICING POLICY

Due to current shortness of supply and
increased soybean and vegetable oil costs, our price has gone up. We are hoping this price increase will only apply for this season.

APPLICATIONS THAT EDC DOES WITH OUR EQUIPMENT, WITHIN 150 MILES OF OUR BASE. BEYOND 150 MILES, FREIGHT OF $2.20 PER LOADED MILE (contingent on fuel prices) WILL BE ADDED FOR EACH MILE BEYOND THE 150 MILES.

DISCOUNTS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON APPLIED PRODUCT BEYOND 24000 LBS OF PRODUCT (3200 GALLONS) AT A 10% RATE.

PRODUCT SALES

For individuals, units of government applicators/dealers or businesses that prefer to do their own applications. We can supply DUSTLOCK. Minimum quantities will apply. For more information and further brokering details, please call. In the past when someone chose to do their own applications, we have recommended EDC doing the first application to show what needs to be done. At a bare minimum EDC strongly recommends that we inspect the site and if possible, supervise the first application.

Due to increased volume, we are moving toward more distributors, particularly in the South and Southwest. We are in the process of setting up distributors with confidentiality agreements for surrounding states/areas.
